We're bringing traditional bookbinding to Brisbane east coast!

Join me for a beginner-friendly relaxed day of hand-crafting your own notebooks from beautiful papers of your choice.

In our morning class, you'll customise your covers from a range of decorative papers then learn how to bind loose sheets with varying Japanese binding styles.

Our afternoon class looks at the ancient Western style of binding known as Coptic Stitch. In this class you'll be guided through folding and compiling signatures, puncturing sewing stations, and finally the braided-look stitch to create a lay-flat notebook.

Do I need any experience to attend?

Not at all. These workshops are beginner friendly and everyone will receive guidance through each step.

Do I need to bring anything?

Only your creativity! All materials, tools and papers are provided.

Are food and drinks provided?

There will be a small morning/afternoon tea with nibbles and tea, coffee, fruit tea, and water available.

(Glen Innes) Where do I park?

Using the rear entry of the History House Museum, there is penty of parking available. The Potter Building is in the old Children's Ward to the right of all other buildings.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 7 or more days before the workshop date will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made 3–6 days before the workshop will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop are non-refundable.

If a workshop is cancelled by Book and Kettle Cottage Crafts, participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a rescheduled session or receive store credit.
