As a mother of two young boys, any crafting is done in the "inbetween".

Inbetween the meals and the dishes. Inbetween the laundry and the playground days. Inbetween the big emotions and the bedtime stories. The chickens and the weeding. The errand days and the living room dancing.

I started Book and Kettle Cottage Crafts as a piece of mind project - a quiet amongst the endless to-do lists and noise. Self-taught, I made so many mistakes with my small sewing machine and cutting mat until the scraps of fabric and paper became something.

A flower child at heart, I am inspired by the historic creativity of vintage patterns and thick feel of natural textures. I look for sustainability in a world of excess in the form of upcycling textiles and recycled papers. I want my handmade items to be a grounding point in the days of those still living with their hands, as an analog outlet to balance the digital input.

Baking days, impulsive sketching, library runs, journal notes, cozy reading, new recipes.

Moving from the city to a bygone heritage town two years ago, I'm still only working from my kitchen table as our tiny home is slowly extended to make space for life, work and play.

Book and Kettle Cottage Crafts and I are just getting started as I’m slowly building toward a full launch of all my imagined possibilities. I hope you'll join me as I look forward to hosting bookbinding workshops and attending markets, and subscribe to receive updates of all the important news I can't wait to share with you.
