Shipping policy
All orders are packed and sent from NSW, Australia.
As a small handmade business, each order is packed by me with care. I do my best to send everything promptly and appreciate your understanding of any delays that come with rural living.
Processing Times
Please allow 3 business days for processing and packing. During busy periods, new releases, market weeks, workshop weekends, or holiday periods, dispatch may take a little longer. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. If an item is made to order, part of a pre-order, or has a different turnaround time, that will be noted on the product page where possible.
Shipping Within Australia
Australian orders are sent with Australia Post. Shipping is calculated by weight into tiers. If Express Post is available for your order, it will appear as an option at checkout.
International Shipping
International orders are sent with Australia Post and their delivery partners. I currently offer flat rate international shipping of $30 AUD.
Delivery times for international orders will vary depending on destination, customs processing, and local postal services. Any customs duties, import taxes, or other fees charged by the destination country are the responsibility of the customer.
Please note that international orders may be subject to custom/tax fees once your order has reached its destination and this is not included on your flat rate shipping fee.
Parcels and Tracking
Tracking details will be sent by email once your order has been dispatched, where tracking is included with the shipping service selected. Please allow a little time for tracking updates to appear once your parcel has been lodged.
Items included in the lightest weighted parcel tier will be sent via envelope with priority status but untracked. Other postage tiers will automatically include tracking.
Delivery Timeframes
Delivery timeframes begin after dispatch, not from the date the order is placed. Once your parcel has been handed to Australia Post, delivery times are outside my control despite estimations. Delays can occasionally happen during public holidays, peak periods, severe weather, or other postal disruptions and Book and Kettle Cottage Crafts is not at fault.
Packaging
Orders are packed in eco-conscious packaging wherever possible. I make intentional choices in the materials used for wrapping and sending your order, with a focus on compostable, recycled, lower-waste, or environmentally friendly options where I can. I choose packaging suppliers that aim for sustainability and many also plant trees for each order made with them.
Combined Orders
Orders placed together will usually be shipped together. If your order includes an item with a different turnaround time, your parcel may be held until everything is ready.
The Cottage Notebook Club / Subscription Items
As stated on the product page, this is a subscription service that will be sent at the beginning of each month, separately from any other items purchased within the same order, with their own dispatch schedule.
Where noted on the product page, other subscription items may be shipped separately from other purchases and on their own dispatch schedule.
Shipping Address
Please make sure your shipping details are correct at checkout. Book and Kettle cannot be responsible for parcels sent to an incorrect or incomplete address provided at the time of order. If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect address, failed collection, or being unclaimed, additional shipping costs may apply before it can be re-sent.
Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Parcels
If your order arrives damaged, please email as soon as possible with your order number and clear photos of the packaging and the item as received. If your parcel is significantly delayed or appears to be lost, please get in touch and I will do my best to assist by following it up with the carrier where possible.
